Excesos
Vivir es a menudo un exceso, siendo este a la vez un juicio de valor, un afecto y una realidad propiamente humana. Lo humano y lo inhumano no dejan de contaminarse y revelan así una clase de impurezas esenciales de nuestra naturaleza, nada es excesivo en sí y solo la imposición de una norma previa marca la medida del exceso.
Living is often an excess, this being at the same time a value judgment, an affection and a properly human reality. The human and the inhuman do not cease to contaminate each other and there by reveal a class of essential impurities of our nature, nothing is excessive in itself and only the imposition of a prior norm marks the measure of excess.

Materiales: Cerámica en alta temperatura y esmaltes con arcillas tóxicas.
Al salir al campo cargamos palas,
cubiertos ,cubetas y apetito,
portamos mascarillas, intentamos no juzgar
para aguantar el asco.
Cuidamos las porciones, elegimos ingredientes
llevamos botas y guantes para regresar con bien
y aun así hay excesos.
La nueva coordenada nos lleva a seguir el río
a saciar el hambre, a un lugar nuevo
a vivir y a comer, a estar mas que satisfechos
por que una experiencia al igual que un banquete nutren
pero después son un exceso.
Al llegar se observa un entorno rendido
los pájaros trinan con nostalgia
en la lengua se siente un olor a rancio
conversamos, masticamos, digerimos
una brisa pegajosa golpea el rostro
el calor escurre por la nuca
se remueven las tierras, se mezclan los ingredientes
nada es suficiente, comemos en exceso.
Dejamos huellas a nuestro paso
un agujero mas en nuestras brechas
caen semillas, cascaras, envolturas
todo lo que no se coma, lo que no se use
lo que no sirva, lo que este demás, es un exceso.
Nos llevamos tierra, tierra con agua
tierra contaminada, tierra para trabajar
comimos mas de lo que necesitamos
tierra con desechos de fabricas y refinerías
tiempo digerido, grasa, azúcar, pesadez
tierra con pesticidas, tierra con gusanos
gases eructados inspirando objetos del exceso.
Pensamos que la tierra tóxica será nuestra nueva tierra
no pensamos, comemos, no pensamos, gastamos
la contaminación es una nueva materia prima
todo es nuestro, no pensamos, no volteamos
el agua no siempre es vida, hay rios que matan
pero hasta la muerte vive
y en la vida hay excesos.
Nunca se vuelve al mismo lugar
ni se vuelve a ser el mismo
se vuelve siempre
se come siempre
se consume siempre
vivir es un exceso
somos un exceso.
When we go out to the field we load shovels,
cutlery, buckets and appetite,
we wear masks, we try not to judgeto
endure the disgust.
We take care of the portions, we choose ingredients
we wear boots and gloves to return safely
and yet, there are excesses.
The new coordinate leads us to follow the river
to satisfy hunger, to a new place
to live and eat, to be more than satisfied
because an experience like a banquet nourishes
but then, they are an excess.
Upon arrival, a surrendered environment is observed
the birds sing nostalgicall
ya rancid odor is felt on the tongue
we talk, we chew, we digesta sticky breeze hits our face
the heat runs down the back of your neck
the earth is removed, the ingredients are mixed
nothing is enough, we eat in excess.
We leave footprints in our stride
one more hole in our gaps
seeds, shells, coverings fall
everything that is not eaten, what is not used
what is not useful, whatever is extra, is an excess.
We take clay, clay with water
clay with toxines, clay to work
we ate more than we need
clay with waste from factories and refineries
time digested, fat, sugar, heaviness
clay with pesticides, clay with worms
gases eructed by inhaling the excess.
We think that the toxic clay will be our new clay
we don't think, we eat, we don't think, we spend
pollution is a new raw material

On this occasion we visited 3 new coordinates of the Lerma-Santiago river located in the municipalities of Juanacatlán, Ocotlán and San Cristobal de la Barranca, where we extracted clay for the creation of ceramic objects made with contaminated clay extracted from the river, which were processed, worked and heated excessively.
Excesses is part of an investigation called COORDINATES, an exercise that the studio constantly carries out in order to document, give visibility and map the different characteristics and components that clays present depending on their location, their environment and their interaction with the human being.
Not depending on the clay minery industries, but goind out finding the material, has made us appreciate its propertiesto become as a medium capable of transforming us and allowing us to narrate in different ways and from different perspectives that strange, continuous and curious coexistence.
En esta ocasión visitamos 3 nuevas coordenadas del rio Lerma- Santiago situadas en los municipios de Juanacatlán, Ocotlán y San Cristobal de la Barranca donde extrajimos tierras para la creación de objetos de cerámica hechos con arcillas contaminadas extraídas del río, las cuales fueron procesadas, trabajadas y quemadas en exceso.
Excesos es parte de una investigación llamada Coordenadas un ejercicio que el estudio realiza constantemente con el fin de documentar, dar visibilidad y mapear las diferentes características y componentes que las arcillas presentan dependiendo su localización, su entorno y su interacción con el ser humano.
El no depender de que la arcilla llegue a nosotros, si no nosotros encontrarla a ella, nos ha hecho apreciarla no como un material, si nocomo un medio capaz de transformarnos y permitirnos narrar de diferentes formas y desde diferentes perspectivas esa extraña, continua y curiosa convivencia.
